Shipping and Delivery

Learning Child aims to make your online shopping experience to be as pleasant and convenient as possible.  To simplify postage rates and eliminate the hassle of referring to various destination and weight tables, we offer you a flat rate of AU$ 9.50 postage for all items anywhere in Australia.

For urgent orders,   Express Post shipping is available.  The cost of Express Post deliveries may be subject to change depending on the weight and destination of your order.

We use Australia Post to ensure reliable delivery of your parcels Australia-wide.  Deliveries normally take 2-4 business days upon receipt of order and confirmation of payment.

The postal carrier may require a signature on delivery. If you are not available at home to receive your parcel, we recommend nominating an alternative address.  Should you not be at home when your order is delivered, a consignment note will be left either on your letterbox or front door, where you will be directed to your nearest local Post Office to collect your parcel at your convenience.

Be aware that October to December are very busy months both for us and our toy suppliers because of the high volume of orders during the Christmas season.  We encourage you to shop early and allow for more time for delivery. 

All orders are subject to availability. We monitor our stocks and keep our product listings updated.  Occasionally, some items sell out quickly and we may experience delays from our suppliers and manufacturers, especially during the holiday season.  These events may be beyond our control.  Should the items you order be unavailable, we will inform you as soon as possible. 

International Shipping and Delivery

All orders made for international destinations will be shipped through Australia Post.  We can ship to almost any destination outside Australia. Send us an email shipping@learningchild.com.au, let us know what toys you are ordering, its destination and we will reply back within 12-24 hours to advise you of the actual shipping cost.

Gift Wrapping

We offer FREE gift-wrapping and the option to include a FREE gift tag, hand-written for you with your personal message.

Should you prefer NOT to use gift wrapping paper as an environmental alternative, we can either attach a FREE gift tag to your order or simply attach the packing slip to the gift.  The packing slip itemises the products ordered without the prices and indicates the name of the sender.  The product invoice detailing item prices can be sent separately to the sender.

 

Packaging and Environmental Awareness

One of the learning goals identified by Learning Child in its Science category is environmental awareness.  To support and be consistent with this goal, Learning Child is conscious of our use of packaging and its impact on the environment.   

As an environment-friendly alternative, we encourage the use of recycled materials for our office and business use.  We use recycled paper for our office printing requirements. We optimise paper consumption and minimise wastage by re-using printed paper for drafts. We also source and re-use clean, cardboard boxes and bubble wrap that have been sent to us by our own suppliers if we need to post orders in boxes.

Payments

We accept payment of orders with the following credit cards: Visa and MasterCard.  Your credit card details are entered into a secure page on our website and submitted directly via the Payment Gateway.  In your credit card statement, your payment will appear as "Global Mechant Accord in Dublin IRL".  This is just the location of our payment facility and assure you that we are an Australian-owned company.  Once your credit card is approved, we are notified automatically and proceed with processing your purchase.  Note that we are not reponsible for the approval or disapproval of the credit card purchase.

Return Policy

You may return a product for the following reasons:

  • Damaged during transit
  • Fault to the product as covered by Manufacturer’s warranty  

In order for Learning Child to accept the return, a returns authorisation number MUST accompany it. Please e-mail us at info@learningchild.com.au to obtain this number, prior to returning the item. This is to ensure your return goes smoothly and we understand the reasons for the return.  You should also quote your order number or product details as well the reason for the return.  We will reply to you by e-mail and inform you of the address to send the returned item.  Once the item is returned, we will either offer you a replacement or a full refund, whichever your preference is.   Where possible, items must be returned in their original packaging.

Please allow 4-5 business days (following receipt) for your refund/replacement to be processed.
